Maxmind database not installing

Hi,
I have tried to update the MaxMind database in the GEO Coalaweb Traffic Configuration tab but the database does not install and I get the following error message:

An error has occurred.
0 Call to undefined function MaxMind\Db\Reader\bcadd()
Return to Control Panel

Please can you advise how to correct this issue?

Have you had any problems installing the GEO database before?
Have you tried installing it manually?
Has anything changed since the last install?

Have you had any problems installing the GEO database before? yes
Have you tried installing it manually? yes, won't install
Has anything changed since the last install? only updates joomla & coala
