We have recently been working hard migrating our websites over to a new hosting provider so if you experience any problems please let us know so we can fix them as soon as possible.
Hello,
the traffic on my page contains lots of bots. I have identified already a lot of them and blocked them from counting. But there are still many left I don't know how to handle. IP-Lookup doesn't give me enough data to identify if it is realy a bot and what bot it is.
Is there a bot-list somewhere I just can write down in Coala Web Traffic?
Thanks and regards,
Pingpong
Hi,
It's a bit of an ongoing issue knowing what visitors are bots especially if they don't disclose the right information about themselves. I have seen a few lists/databases around online such as
But the main problem is that the info can get out of date quite quickly unless that have an active following.
You can also setup the Project Honeypot option (CoalaWeb Traffic component options under the Honeypot tab) and set it to block suspicious and search engines.
I hope that helps.
