We have two sites on different servers and the sites were sending email using Coalaweb Contact ... but no longer.
All we get is the following messages on the redirect page ...
Notice : Empty message body
Message: Thank you! Your email has been sent.
... BUT ... no form is received by either the user or the specified recipient email.
1. I tested both "Test Mail" & "CoalaWeb Mail Check" and they work fine.
2. Ive turned off system caching
3. Ive changed recipient emails and specified them to override global config.
But no email forms are being received by either the sender or intended recipient no matter what I try.
We also havent done any recent updates that I am aware of.
Contact forms can be quite the enigma and tough to fault find mainly because there are a lot of steps in the process that are out side the control of the developers/designers. The form is submitted and processed by Joomla then on to the mail servers that send and receive filtering and blocking along the way.
It may have been a case of the mail severs were slow processing the mail or a mail server were being rebooted or that the recipient mail server saw too many request from your website as you were testing and the list goes on but I'm glad you got some results in the end.
