Social Links V1.0.6
We say goodbye to Google +

CoalaWeb Social Links version 1.0.6 is soon to be released and it comes with some big changes which we think should be explained in detail so if you are interested in finding out what they are keep reading.
This release of contains a long list of updates, improvements and bug fixes but we thought some of the changes such as parts of the extension being removed should be explained in more detail to help clear up any confusion.
Tips and Links
Google +
We have removed both the Google + module and the Google+ buttons due to Google no longer supporting consumer accounts.
Google+ is only available for G Suite accounts through work or school. Consumer accounts (typically ending in @gmail.com) were shut down on April 2nd, 2019.
Further more Google has ended the following services.
Legacy Google+ APIs have been shut down as of March 7, 2019. Changes to the shutdown plan have been made recently which may mitigate its effect on some developers.
Google+ integration for web and mobile apps have also stopped functioning as of March 7, 2019.
Google URL Shortener
The Google URL shorteningstrong> option has also been removed and replace with Bitly due Google discontinuing this service.
On March 30, 2018, we turned down support for goo.gl URL shortener. From April 13, 2018, only existing users were able to create short links on the goo.gl console. Analytics data was available for up to one year, until March 30, 2019, when goo.gl was discontinued. Previously created links will continue to redirect to their intended destination.
Stumbleupon
We have also removed Stumbleupon buttons due to support for this social network having stopped on the 30th of June. Stumbleupon accounts have been moved to a new platform called Mix which we will monitor closely and possible included in a future release.
Digg and Delicious
We have also removed both Digg and Delicious buttons as they both have become obsolete and are no longer supported.
Final Thoughts
There has been a lot of hard work put into version 1.0.6 of CoalaWeb Social Links which has included a lot of code changes and improvements so if you have any issues after updating please clear your Browser cache and if the issue continues try clearing your Joomla cache as well and don't forget to refresh the page.
We also recommend that you take the time to have a look around and save the component and module options to help any changes catch up.
